Five On Friday

Thank you all for your kind comments on my last post.  I so appreciate them as I always do.  Some of you said that my words bought a tear or so to your eye, well your comments bought one to mine too, more than one if I am honest.  I think it was good for me and I finally let a few things out so although  I have no way to express what that means, it was a good thing!, all I can say is thank you times a million.  Sorry I cannot say more, but I am rather wrung out right now.

Thank you for participating in Five On Friday and for continuing to do so even though I have been absent and will be for a little longer yet.  I will see you when I return.

Have a great weekend, tell your loved ones you love them and go and share some bloggy love with the other participants.

Thank you again

Amy

  5. Amy, sorry I didn't get to participate in Five On Friday last week, l wanted to but life got in the way and I had nothing interesting to post about. I will endeavour to cobble something together for this week a bit later. However please know that my thoughts are with you at this difficult time you are experiencing and I hope the situation becomes easier for you soon. xx

  9. It's an emotional time at the moment but once everything has been sorted out and you see that your father in law is being looked after, no matter how far away, things will start to settle down.

  15. Well.........

Reading your previous post, I can honestly say it too brought tears to my eyes. It's so difficult having an aged family member that needs help/care. And sometimes just wants to give up on life, but we...as a family...don't want to let go. Either by distance or passing. Those of us left behind one way or another have a trial to face and it's NOT EASY!! My mother had 3 minor strokes and I lived within blocks of her and dad. I tried helping, but you're being pulled apart with your own family to raise. Finally, her 4th stroke; she succumbed. I was there at her side. We all knew it was inevitable, but never the less, heart wrenching and a feeling of loss. I can send along comforting hugs, but that only goes so far. Just remember in time, you will be able to look back and smile and the GOOD MEMORIES. That is what life is!!

    Hugs...

  16. Hello, Amy - hope you find some time to relax a bit this weekend, even if it's just to step outside with a hot cuppa and breathe in the fresh air and admire whatever is beautiful in front of you. Thanks for hosting, looking forward to some serious blog visiting this weekend. Sending hugs xo Karen

  22. Hello dearest Amy! Just wanted to say I keep thinking of you all and sending hugs and prayers. Sorry I didn't get a chance to link up. My kiddos have been home the past 2 days due to conferences and teacher development days. So we have been having fun doing lots of Fall things together. I plan to be back next week! Blessings to you. xoxo
