Welcome to Five On Friday. It is good to be back with you after the Easter break and my break from blogging this week. I hope that you had a good Easter and enjoyed yourselves without eating too too much chocolate. My bunny and the egg I received are intact, but only because I have had cake to eat... they will soon be gone!!
Thank you for your good wishes this week, it seems as though I had only just got over my cold when this jaw pain thing came along. I am sorry to have been rather a downer lately, not much fun for either of us. My face is getting better now - thank you for the support! It goes away and I know that it will, I just need to bear with it and so I have been hiding away and waiting. It is much improved from the start of the week so that is all good.
Just to explain the "face" thing, I sometimes get the most dreadful pain on either one side or the other of my face which is in my jaw, top and bottom, spreads round my ear, eye socket and up onto the top of my head. It is caused by clenching and grinding my teeth and usually comes on after I have finished been stressed about something, or sometimes it just comes on randomly on its own. It does go away again and causes no lasting effects. I don't have a gum shield thingy because they make me gag which doesn't do much good for me!! So I just try not to grind and I bear it!!
The weather has been better too here in my part of England which has been nice. The sun has been out which is always good. Yesterday I got out with my best friend - she is always so lovely and cheers me up, I couldn't ask for a better friend and she really is the best one I have ever had. She reads this so I expect she might be blushing, although I do tell her this regularly in person!!!
So my five things are related to the walk I took yesterday with my friend plus a little extra one just because.
Because I haven't been out or done anything of note this week I took my camera along on my walk with my friend yesterday. I was telling her that I needed to photograph five things for this post, so the first thing I got a picture of was our feet! Crazy huh! We did well on the walk though, over 6500 steps and 51 active minutes according to my fitbit. Not too shabby!
The place we went walking is a nature reserve cum lake cum sailing lake and there are lots of places to explore. There are also interesting things to see such as this wood carving. The wings reminded me of a hummingbird at first, but my friend said it might be a kingfisher. I am sure she is right because she is an RSPB member and I don't really know anything about birds.
I could recognise these birds though thankfully! Swans, Ducks and Canada Geese.
The water was very calm and clear with no wind and it was sunnier than it appears in these photos. We didn't see anyone sailing today though.
There is evidence of the boating activities though in these canoes and so on. Not for us today though!
A bonus, taken earlier in the week just as the sun was setting. I love sunset pictures and had to share this with you.
So that is my week! Not the most thrilling but that is OK and a new one will come along and all will be good.
I hope that all is well with you, that you have a great weekend and that you enjoy Five On Friday today. Please do remember to go and visit other participants, I know they love it when you stop by and take the time to leave a comment. We are all so busy and our time is precious, and I know it takes time to comment, but that really does make your remarks all the more welcome and precious and I and the others taking part thank you for that!
Thank you - as always! - for joining in and for going to read others posts.
If you want to grab a Five On Friday Button or get more information about how to join in the All About Five On Friday page will tell you all that you need to know.
