There are bits of blue sky.
Beautiful flowers in the garden - albeit from afar because it is freezing cold out there!
Fabric to back my finished tapestry cushion front - when I drag the sewing machine out.
Coughing is SO dramatically reduced.
More lovely flowers in the garden
Current tapestry is coming along really well! I just have the background to do now.
Very cute bunny on my calendar this month.
Finally cooking from Simply Nigella which I bought ages ago and haven't used yet. It is selected as this months recipe book!
Oh, and have you seen this crazy thing on the news today about the use of exclamation marks? Unless you start a sentence with what or how you cannot use one apparently. What the heck! How do I cope!
All more cheerful things to be thinking about as I get back to some sort of routine and am spending the day cleaning the house after neglecting it for the last two weeks. Dust bunny chasing is good for the soul!
Thank you all so much for the kind and supportive comments on my post yesterday. I was very down and although nothing has changed, your support was wonderful! Thank you.
To add insult to injury Man's other son called yesterday evening to say that he had spoken to Man and that he was fine and is apparently going out today and that all is well... Nothing to worry about apparently.
We have tried all that we can, and we have tried involving doctors, social services etc and I recommend that anyone else does just that too, but to no avail. A couple of years ago Man was in hospital and I asked the medical staff to assess him. They said he was fine, he could tell them all about my Mother. Except that everything he told them was totally made up, it was nothing to do with anything my Mother does or has done and the hospital staff told me that I was wrong... You see why I am screwed up about it all!!
You cannot force someone to accept help when they are an adult! You also cannot force someone to be nice to their child, listen to them or give them some love. Even if they are an adult your child is still your child and still needs your love but apparently not everyone sees it that way.
I will shut up now. Sorry to go on!
I am off to chase some more dust and go and buy the food I need to cook these delicious recipes - Pasta Bruno tonight!
